Tara Steinnerd Talley, Esquire

Tara lived in the Washington DC area for the past 15 years, and built a successful family law practice in Arlington, VA. However, in 2017, Tara married a man living in Denver, and his four children attend school in Douglas County. As a result, Tara has moved to Colorado and is expanding her parent coordination and mediation business in Colorado.

Super Lawyers Magazine has named Tara a Rising Star in Family Law for 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017.  Tara has also been “Named 10 Best Under 40” by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys for 2015 and 2016.  Tara has authored and taught CLE trainings for the National Business Institute, and the Fairfax Bar Association’s Family Law Practice. Tara is licensed to practice law in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia, and her application is currently pending for the State of Colorado.

Tara volunteered most of her pro-bono services to Northern Virginia Legal Services, where she represented clients needing protective orders from domestic violence situations. Tara received her Juris Doctor from Catholic University in Washington, D.C. While attending law school, Ms. Talley worked as a Law Clerk for the National Law Center for Children and Families, and as a Clerk for the Hon. Odessa Vincent in the D.C. Superior Court.

Ms. Talley is trained as a Mediator and a Parent Coordinator, and as a Guardian Ad Litem in other jurisdictions. Ms. Talley is a native Texan, and received her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University. She remains an enthusiastic college football fan and lives in Centennial, Colorado.
